ITDevCon 2024 was a burst of innovation and passion for Delphi development. For two days, developers from around the world gathered to share knowledge, exchange insights on the latest trends, and discover new developments in the industry.

It was an electrifying atmosphere, with over 20 talks ranging from cutting-edge programming techniques to highly practical use cases.

On the second day, the morning featured a series of talks covering a wide range of topics by international speakers: developing card games with Carlo Barazzetta – founder of Ethea; the challenges of sorting algorithms with Stefan Glienke – a programmer with over 25 years of experience; bringing Firebird to mobile with Fabio Codebue – founder of the Firebird Foundation; Vector Databases with Flavio Basile – Senior Software Developer; and finally, the advantages and limitations of Delphi helpers with Jeroen Wiert Pluimers – software developer.

After a lunch rich with Italian flavors and some valuable time for exchanging ideas and opinions on the many topics covered, the afternoon sessions resumed.

Primož Gabrijelčič – R&D Manager at FAB d.o.o. – spoke about practical debugging techniques; Claudio Piffer – Delphi Developer – addressed app security with Keycloak in DMVCFramework; Fabrizio Bitti – CEO of bit Time Software – explained the use of robots in Flowenti; Sileide Campos – control and automation engineer and Delphi developer – discussed Tuya Smart devices like Alexa; Antonio Zapater – Pre-sales Consultant Engineer at Embarcadero Inc. – unveiled new possibilities with SKIA in RAD Studio; and finally, Omar Bossoni – Senior Delphi Developer – gave a deep dive into JSON Schema.

In the closing session, a prize draw delighted attendees with many gifts offered by this year’s generous sponsors, including gadgets, books, and discount vouchers.

Great food and a cheerful, friendly atmosphere reinforced the spirit that makes ITDevCon so unique. Attendees highly appreciated the quality of the presentations, the diversity of the topics covered, and the valuable networking opportunities—and made some new friends along the way.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to all participants and speakers, without whom ITDevCon wouldn’t be the same; to the staff for making this conference possible; and to our fantastic sponsors for their continued support.

And now… keep an eye on our social channels—because the date of the Spring Edition of ITDevCon will be announced soon!
