ITDevCon 2024 kicked off with a first day dedicated to innovation and sharing. The two-day event, held in Rome, welcomed numerous Delphi industry experts, who took turns on stage presenting a packed agenda of sessions.

The morning sessions, focused on what’s new in RAD Studio Athens, Codolex and AI for app development, the integration of Delphi with OpenAI APIs, and the use of WebStencils, gave attendees a broad overview of the latest trends in the IT world. Internationally renowned speakers such as Antonio Zapater – Pre-sales consultant engineer at Embarcadero Inc. –, Marco Geuze – co-owner of GDK Software and Embarcadero Delphi MVP – and Fabio Moschella – IT professional with over 30 years of experience in project management and software development – shared their knowledge and experiences, sparking engaging discussions.

Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to delve into highly relevant topics. The afternoon sessions, in particular, focused on #CORS and Web development with Marco Breveglieri – senior software and web application developer –, the game “The Deadlock Empire” with Jeroen Wiert Pluimers – software developer –, development with DelphiMVCFramework using HTMX and TemplatePro or WebStencils with Daniele Teti – software architect, trainer, author, and consultant with over 20 years of experience –, app security with Keycloak with Claudio Piffer – Delphi developer – and finally the analysis of O() complexity of operations on Spring collections with Primož Gabrijelčič – R\&D Manager at FAB d.o.o. – providing attendees with practical tools and knowledge to face future challenges.

Beyond the technical sessions, the first day of ITDevCon once again proved to be an excellent opportunity for networking. Coffee breaks, lunch (featuring the inevitable porchetta from the Castelli Romani!), and social events allowed participants to exchange ideas and knowledge, creating new opportunities for collaboration.

The day ended on a highly satisfying note. Attendees appreciated the quality of the content and the chance to engage with top experts in the field, and are ready for the second day of the conference.

But first… dinner together – to keep talking about Delphi, but most of all to have fun and enjoy good food!
